For most of the PureGrain fans out there, this is probably the disc with the longest track listing ever. Although the listing may be long, the tracks are not. In less then 38 minutes the listener is whipped through a whopping 43 songs. Sure these are all WAY shorter than the average track, but you do get this amazingly complex disc. This release is unlike anything we have on this site, it’s worth a listen. It may not be your cup of tea, but still worthy of a listen.

The first page of the liner notes (aka the prelude) gives fans a rundown of what is about to go down. Clearly a concept album about puzzles, the 43 tracks are divided into 3 sections. Abstractly created and a symphony of sorts, you can either pretend it's one long song, or enjoy each individual track on its own. But just know, and take note of the complexity of each work of art, because that’s what it is. Each track, each section is created so carefully, with soul, talent and compassion. Trying to figure out all the sounds, instruments, layers and over dubs will probably drive you nuts, but enjoying the record will not. It’s hard to contain this in a single genre; if you want we can say it's glam rock inter-fused with a symphony of sounds.

I’m totally a thief when it comes to quotes, and I have to add one in here, “you can say many things with words but you can say so much more with music”, how true is that? That said this album speaks volumes.

For those of you who truly enjoy music, in all its glory, variety, genres and types... "it’s up to you how you piece the puzzle together, enjoy.” No Edward Cullen’s were hurt in the making of this review.  [ END ]
