KASHMIR Make Their US Debut With 'Petite Machine' EP
Danish rock band Kashmir made their U.S. debut today with their Sony Denmark release of their EP 'Petite Machine'. Kashmir have found insurmountable success across the European music scene over the past decade; holding 10 Danish Music awards, double platinum sales and sold out tours under their belt.
The current single from 'Petite Machine', “Surfing The Warm Industry,” is the band’s response to the state of the music industry. The video for “Surfing The Warm Industry” provides a vibrant illustration of what a day in the life of someone working in the music industry can be like, according to Kashmir.
Kashmir front man Kasper Estrus comments on their US debut with Petite Machine stating “Petite Machine is obviously about my love. I refer to her as my petite machine,” and comments about the current single “Surfing The Warm Industry” by stating “Surfing The Warm Industry started as an instrumental done by the band. We liked the pulse and persistence of the track. The lyric came from a conversation that I was having with a good friend. He would reflect on my profession by referring to the business as a 'warm industry'... A statement that was meant to be ironic, since it is anything but warm and cozy.”
