INAEONA to Release 7 Inch on Radar Recordings and Appear at SXSW; Debut EP, 'Blue Sky All Day' Out Soon
InAeona, formed from the remnants of Boston atmospheric rock-noir quintet Baby Boy H, will be releasing a limited edition seven-inch, 'Sunshine,' via Boston’s Radar Recordings (Junius, Constants, Adai) just in time for South By Southwest. In addition to the 'Sunshine' seven-inch, the band also has finished work on their debut EP, 'Blue Sky All Day,' which should see a 2010 release.
Beside drums, which were tracked by Alec Rodriguez at New Alliance, everything was tracked and mixed by drummer James at his apartment. Don’t let the band’s DIY approach give you the wrong impression, though - 'Blue Sky All Day' sounds absolutely spectacular. Listen to the whole thing at www.inaeona.com.
The corps members of InAeona - vocalist/guitarist Bridge, bassist Dave, and drummer James - have been an active part of the Radar family since its inception in 2002. All three are former members of Radar band Baby Boy H, Dave played bass on the first Junius EP, and Bridge sang some vocals on Junius’ recently-released 'The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist'. Additionally, James worked with Will Benoit of Constants on mixing their most recent record, The Foundation, The Machine, The Acension, and also recorded a track for Junius for their upcoming split with Tuscon, Arizona’s Juarez.
The “Sunshine” seven-inch will be available exclusively via Radar Recordings beginning Friday, April 2nd in a numbered edition of 300 on colored vinyl, featuring four unique covers, all hand-screened by artist Carolyn Hulbert.
