DINOSAUR BONES To Release 7-inch Vinyl February 2nd & Tour Dates
Dinosaur Bones, the band on the tip of everyone's tongue, is releasing much anticipated new material. February 2nd marks the release of Dinosaur Bones' 7-inch on Toronto/New York upstart vinyl label Hi-Scores Recording Library, available digitally worldwide and off-stage. In 2009, Toronto's Dinosaur Bones were able to showcase their brooding indie rock at festivals including Edgefest, NXNE, Pop Montreal, and Halifax Pop Explosion while playing alongside the likes of Crystal Antlers, Malajube, Hey Rosetta!, Arkells, Born Ruffians, and more. The band will kick off 2010 with a slew of North American tour dates, including their 7-inch release party in Toronto at the Steamwhistle Roundhouse on March 5th, and a stop at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.
Holed up at Toronto's Giant Studios, the band recorded the two tracks featured on the 7-inch ("Royalty" and "Ice Hotels"), along with the nine others that will make up their debut full-length album. Producer Jon Drew (Tokyo Police Club, Arkells, Fucked Up) has managed to capture the power and melancholic allure of the band's ambitious live show. Dinosaur Bones' distinct brand of indie rock has won them praise from Canada's top media outlets, garnering attention from Toronto's 102.1 The Edge, and radio stations across the country. Their live show is a memorable display of uninhibited talent; the type of musical complexity rarely witnessed in a band this early in their young and rising career.
